Homeowners Insurance


    B: Introduction to Homeowners Insurance

The following persons are considered insureds under a Homeowners policy:

  • Named insured and the insured's spouse if the spouse lives in the same household;

  • Named insured and all residents of the same household who are relatives of the insured, or who are under age 21 and in the care of any member of the insured's family;

  • Personal property of guests or a residence employee while in any residence occupied by an insured;

  • If named insured or the spouse dies, coverage continues for legal representatives.

Under Section II - Liability, the insured also includes:

  • Any person or organization legally responsible for insured's animals or watercraft.

  • Any person using a covered vehicle that is not subject to motor vehicle registration. The covered vehicle must be used on the insured location with permission and used to service an insured’s residence or designed to assist the handicapped.
